On Saturday Hamilton Roddis filed a petition with City Clerk John Seubert requesting a recount of the Fourth Ward elect ion results from April 2. Roddis lost to G A Krasin by 178 to 180 with two votes in the margin and alleges counting errors and irregularities by entrants not listed on the ward's registration. The Common Council will review the petition at its next meeting for a full airing of the case.

Veteran Maurice Vaughn Dies At 77 In Waupaca
Maurice Vaughn a Civil War veteran and father of Charles Vaughn died Friday at age seventy seven. He had lived recently in a Veterans home in Waupaca and is survived by several relatives including Charles M D A Giles of Richfield and others. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 pm at the Methodist church with Rev. Fred Jordan officiating.
