Death of George Leonard Pioneer Local Resident
George Leonard of Sixth ward died last Sunday from stomach cancer. Funeral at 9 a.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church led by Rev. Fr. Volz. Born 1852 he lived near Loyal on a large farm and married Sophia Esselman in 1884, widow of one son Edward Leonard. He was a popular, energetic pioneer with many friends.
