Floyd McCrossen Dies at Sixteen Months
Floyd McCrossen aged sixteen months, son of Mr and Mrs Leon McCrossen of South Vine street, died Friday night after a brief pneumonia illness. He was taken to the hospital for an operation, but heart failure ended the efforts. The baby was buried at Hillside cemetery after funeral services at the Evangelical church.

In Grand Rapids a two week circuit court trial ended with a verdict for the Wisconsin Central Railroad against the Connor Company. The case claimed fire at Auburndale seven years earlier was caused by locomotive sparks, seeking losses beyond insured amounts. Attorneys Williams and Hayes represented the railroad. Goggins and Brazeau for Connor. The jury returned verdict after forty five hours deliberation.
