The Times tabulation shows a strong, unified voter mood with a citizen ticket winning Mayor Felker and 10 of 12 council seats. Key races saw defeats for long time figures in the 1973 board of review and notable ballot irregularities and withdrawals.
Mrs Susan Steele of Kildare writes of unrest in Ulster as Home Rule looms. She warns of war, notes soldiers in Belfast and the danger of leaving Ireland, and asks if she should emigrate to America with her daughter Lillie if the bill passes in April.
The Marshfield Auto Club elects officers for 1914 15 led by President Hambright and Vice President Hastings with Secretary Treasurer Neumann. Directors include Tiffault Scharmann Hamburgh Hastings and Neumann. The club pledges to Railway City Council No 189 U C to provide autos for convention visitors in June and to guide tours of Marshfield and nearby areas.
Rev Graeme Davis announced a nonsectarian campaign to raise 20000 for a Marshfield community house to serve as gymnasium and meeting space. An open city hall meeting will appoint committees, with city support key to ground breaking by fall. Easter Sunday 1914 brought ideal weather and strong church attendance across Marshfield with diverse services and music.
