Republican County Convention Chooses Delegates at Grand Rapids
The Republican county convention to select delegates for the state judicial convention at Grand Rapids on the 27th met at Eagles hall. Hon. A. F. Snyder presided. L. B. Tompkins was named temporary chair and M. D. Wicks secretary. District delegations were set, with eight delegates per district and a delegate at large. Delegates named included S. Gorham Hyde V. J. Tet L. B. Tompkins Leonard S. A. Firnt W. S. Smith Richard Markham, E. O. Nichole G. B. Howes S. S. Hulbert Chas. Austin M. Wadleigh C. Bush J. C. Barbe H. F. Sachgrana. The reports were adopted, secretary instructed to cast ballots, and Snyder named delegate at large. Proxy authorization and voting procedures were approved.
