Corner Stone Laying of St Marys New Edifice
The ceremony for the corner stone of St Marys Catholic Church Marshall drew nearly 4000 attendees including delegations from Rattie Creek Jackson Albion Tarleson and Marshall with clergy from Detroit and Jackson. The New Church Plans Display Gothic Design
Plans for a new church describe a cruciform stone and brick structure with a 44 by 114 foot nave, 34 by 34 feet transepts, a 47 foot wall height, a northeast tower, and two front entrances. The south end adds a 20 by 40 foot chapel for about 100 people, plus a holy gallery and modern gothic exterior.
