Marshall Peaceful Rally Draws 15 000 in Harrison Morton Parade
A massive torchlight procession in Marshall drew about 15 000 people from Jackson Albion Battle Creek and more to hail Harrison and Morton. Speakers included Congressman O'Donnell and Col Wood urging Republican unity amid fierce Democratic opposition. The crowd decorated streets with red white and blue lanterns as a special train brought in attendees from multiple towns.
