A large turnout is expected as communities from across the county gather for a torchlight Republican demonstration featuring Gen. Lew Wallace. Marshall plans a 6 p.m. march with Albion, Battle Creek, Homer and Tekonsha sending bands and contingents. Special rail service is arranged from Jackson to aid attendance, with a cavalry brigade and decorative streets promised along the parade route.
Local notes report Hon. H. B. Colman Republican candidate for state senator and Lr. J. F. Smiley as Marenius in house Monday evening.
