James Doyle, son of P J Doyle of this city, vanished after going to Battle Creek weeks ago. He visited the Commercial house with a Tekonsha man named Granger, worked as a stone mason on East Main Street, and did not return after being seen returning to a hotel on a Monday. His tools remained at the hotel, and his father could not locate him. Doyle was described as about forty, thick-set, with black hair and carrying around seventy dollars.
Prof Zeublin spoke at the Baptist church on Friday about public health in cities. He warned tenement and cheap lodging conditions harm sanitation while praising private dwellings.
