Mia Gen Dann committed death by own action Tuesday at about 10 oclock a.m. by hanging herself in the woodshed. She had been in poor health and despondent. Her husband was away eight miles, her mother away on an errand. Premeditation evident. she used a chair and clothesline, wearing only night dress and stockings. She was about 50, leaves no children. Inquest verdict supported the findings.

A fire at Mr Grobe's farm one half mile east of Wilders station destroyed the barn and its livestock, a horse, cow, and hog perished. Flames then consumed the house and all possessions. The family had left for Springport earlier. only the night worker remained and said no meat or fire was on the property at that hour. Origin of the blaze unknown.
