Carriage Accident Injures Mrs. Windsor on State Street

Hon George Willard veteran editor of the Battle Creek Journal died at his home in Battle Creek Tuesday morning from a stroke suffered Friday prior. Born in Bolton Vermont March 20 he settled in the area and joined the Battle Creek Journal in 1868. He was esteemed for brilliance and conviction in his writings and was mourned by hundreds at his bier before the funeral at St Thomas Episcopal church.
