DAMAGE IN DIXIE CYCLONE AND FLOOD REPORT

Savannah and surrounding coast report a powerful cyclone and sea surge causing widespread destruction. Sudden death of ex governor Reuben Fenton in New York

Ex Governor Reuben E. Fenton died suddenly at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon while at his desk in the First National Bank where he was president. He suffered a fatal heart disease and died in Janistows New York. He was 67. Fenton served in Congress, then as Governor of New York, and later United States Senator.
