Republican convention selects county delegates in Calhoun

A Republican convention at the opera house in Calhoun county nominated and organized delegates for state, congressional, and senatorial races. W. H. Brockway was temporary chairman and N. J. Kelcey temporary secretary. The body approved permanent officers, listed district delegates, and endorsed James M. Turner for governor and James O’Donnell for Congress. The meeting adjourned with parties to the state and congressional conventions solidly backing Turner and O’Donnell.
