Curious overhead railway money system at McGuinness store
A novel elevated railway style cash handling debuted at McGuinness & Co.’s store last Saturday. Two tiny tracks flank the counter and a wicker ball basket carries slips to the cashier for inspection and change, returning via the opposite track. Also noted: a society resolves to apologize for classroom absences, a new song titled Dandelions, a Battle Creek baseball victory, and a dog damages case in Battle Creek area.
