Grand Prize Won by Local Contractor in Dream Dollars Draw
The Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce fundraiser Dream Dollars drew 275 attendees at Cedar Crest Banquet Centre. Thomas Begg, a local contractor and first time entrant, won the $15,000 grand prize, saying he plans to pay bills and support ongoing projects while raising his 10 year old son. Other prize winners included Carole Huggett, Angie Weatherly, Kathy Tarr, Avande Gillespie, Robert Wiescholek, Mike Muman, Harry Sykora, and Greg Szafranski.

Skateboard Park Proposal on Marshall City Council Agenda
The Marshall Skatepark Committee will present a proposal for a cooperative skate and inline skating park to the Marshall City Council. Formed in 2002 by the Marshall Recreation Department, the GAP Committee, and local adults, the group has studied liability, insurance, and costs and prepared a realistic plan. The committee invites public attendance at the city council meeting October 7 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, with meetings televised live.
