Calhoun County Fairgrounds to Open Sheep and Goat Barn
The Calhoun County Agricultural and Industral Society completed a groundbreaking two months ago and is now finishing the Sheep and Goat Barn at the fairgrounds. Attendees included CCAIS President Russ Cutter and Treasurer Ron Duchenery, 4-H Sheep Club leader Paul Woods, staff, and Hemmingsen family members. About $153,563 has been raised for construction, and the barn will be named for Chet and Helen Hemmingsen, longtime auction supporters. The project aligns with the master development plan for the fairgrounds and reflects 4-H leaders and CCAIS board input.
