Marshall Arts Fair and Summer Theater Events Highlight Weekend
Fine artists from Marshall and surrounding areas will exhibit at the 5th Annual Ketchum Park Art Fair on Saturday July 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Marshall. The event features watercolor photography pottery sculpture and found objects. Also this weekend Godspell opens July 12 at the Civic Center with a July 21 closing, Relay for Life runs July 19 for 24 hours at Calhoun County Fairgrounds, raising funds for cancer research. Tickets for a Fountain Clinic fundraiser are $50 and available at the clinic.

Brownie Troop 260 from Marshall sent 84 boxes of cookies through Gifts of Caring to U S troops in Afghanistan. Red Cross arranged shipping with Guardian Fiber Glass funding the costs. Remaining cookies were offered to Red Cross blood drives with four display signs at cookie booths to boost donations.

Calhoun County Fair Parade Opens Annual County Fair
Calhoun County hosts a Sunday August 11 parade at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Grandstand to launch the 154th Calhoun County Fair. Entry is free for parade participants, premium money funded by Michigan National Bank, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, and Waiters Dimmick Petroleum.
