Marshall Schools face deficit from ERI liability and budget shifts
Auditors found roughly half a million dollars in Employee Retirement Incentives to be recognized as a 2000 01 obligation. The district refinanced the liability into the 2001 02 budget, risking state takeover, and prompted a two year deficit reduction plan as CISD and new finance director Amy Jones reviewed actual 2000 01 expenses and changes in rates.
