Grand Old Lady Saved by Marshall Civic Center Trust
The Marshall Civic Center Trust MCCT bought the 81 year old landmark after a narrow November 2000 defeat by Oaklawn Hospital. The group faces about 750000 in repairs plus 250000 for initial code upgrades, with fundraising to begin soon. Local officials and volunteers celebrated the sale and thanked supporters, pledging to keep the center a central Marshall landmark.
