Fred Moore's Ford Stolen From Front of Church
While Fred Moore and his wife attended services at the Methodist church in Marshall Sunday evening, his Ford touring car was stolen from in front of the church. The car, used on his rural carrier route, was found Monday evening in a cornfield 24 1/2 miles south of Weaver, stripped of tires battery radiator and starter. Two men were stopped and questioned but released with no confession.

Merrell Addresses Churches On Children’s Home Aid
Rev. M. W. Merrell of Chicago spoke at three local churches about children needing homes. He noted 92 Clark county children adopted by the Illinois Children’s Home and Aid Society, a state wide non sectarian group with 50 trained workers and three facilities including an industrial school at Potomac and homes at DuQuoin and Evanston. The report also said over 1800 children receive daily care and more than 1100 have been placed but are not yet of age. A local committee seeks homes for two sisters aged three and five and a boy aged eight assisted by Fay Willerton of Farmer City.

Community Club Organized at Rabbit Ridge School

Injured In Saturday Wreck Near Marshall
Ernest Donner of Casey and Paul and George Roach of Indianapolis were injured Saturday afternoon when the Roach car and Donner’s truck collided three miles west of Marshall. The Roachs suffered serious head and leg injuries, while Donner sustained a cut arm and lacerated hand. Women passengers had minor injuries. all were treated and transported to area hospitals.
