Infant John Bristol Dies in Terre Haute Hospital

Mrs Malinda Murphy aged 75 died Tuesday at her home in Marshall. Funeral services were held Thursday September 13 in Clarksville Baptist church at 11 with Rev W A Fuson officiating Interment in Clarksville cemetery. She leaves one son W G Murphy who wed with her two winters, Mrs Lyman Newman of Clarksville and Mrs Mary Hoskins of Kansas and one brother William Sears of Paris.

Woman Dies After Automobile Wreck Near Marshall
Mrs. Cliff Singer, about 43, of Charleston West Virginia, died after an auto accident east of Marshall Saturday afternoon. The couple and their 15 year old daughter were en route to Coalmont Indiana to visit her brother. The steering wheel locked causing the car to flip three times. Mrs Singer died two hours after at R Mitchell's office. Mr Singer suffered a fractured collar bone and scalp wound and was later moved to St. Anthony's hospital. The daughter was unhurt. Mrs. Singer's body was taken to West Virginia Monday.

Under Miss Edna Baker, Metropolis nurse, the State Tuberculosis Association and Clark County Tuberculosis Association ran a two week health program. They examined thousands of school children from Casey Martinsville West Union Weaun Preimia Agriculture Frog Pond and Ohio. Doctors from Martinsville and West Union assisted. The program aimed to correct defects with surgeries for tonsils and dental work. Many children will be sent to Chicago for further treatment. Mrs Baker is a former Clark county resident and well known in Marshall.

Paxton Link son of Horace Link owner of the Link Furniture Co. in Paris was seriously hurt yesterday when his Ford roadster struck an Essex on the National road east of Marshall between Gwinn Routledge's home and David Setzer's on a curve.
