Chicken Thieves Get Jail Sentences in Robinson
Arthur and Clelland Hightshoe and John Nichols of Robinson were sentenced in Robinson circuit court on a chicken stealing case. The Hightshoe boys received one to ten years each at the Pontiac reformatory. Nichols also drew a similar term at the Chester penitentiary. The theft involved Rev. Lée Guyer near Hutsonville, with Sheriff Turner escorting the suspects to trial.

Paris Illinois dispatch reports Deputy Sheriff Ray Dunn of Dewey Oklahoma arrested Horatio Rosie Litton of Paris on a wife and child abandonment charge. The warrant was issued by Justice Garner and Litton is believed to waive extradition as Dunn heads home with the prisoner.

A man passing through Marshall borrowed Marshall State Bank checks and later sent signed checks bearing George Beuhler and similar local names. Amounts ranged from under a dollar to nearly a hundred. The suspect reportedly fled to Missouri, married a girl under the alias George Beuhler, then robbed her of jewelry and disappeared.

Tramps Annual Convention Held at To-Rest Park
The tramps annual convention gathered at the courthouse at 6 o clock then moved to To-Rest Park for lunch with hot coffee. County Gets Large Sum On Liquor Fines
Blaine Willison of Danville was arrested for transporting liquor and drunken driving. He pled guilty and paid fines of 100 dollars for liquor transport and 100 dollars for intoxicated driving, plus a 60 day jail term. Irene Tuné, his accomplice, also pled guilty to liquor transport and paid 100 dollars. The total fines reached 352.40 dollars and were settled Monday.

Pavement Project Opens Route One From Robinson North to Chicago
