James W. Graham, a leading Marshall lawyer and Clark county prominent figure, died of heart failure in his office Tuesday morning. He served one term in the Illinois legislature but devoted his life to law, leaving a widow, a daughter Mrs. H. H. Knipe of Olney, and three grandchildren. Funeral set for Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. C. E. Pettit officiating.

Tod Tapscott and Albert Huey collided at the Pythian theatre corner on Fifth street causing minor damage to both vehicles with no injuries reported. Tapscott had just purchased his car the day before.

Kathleen Ishler of Martinsville sustained serious injuries when a Hupmobile touring car driven by Lastine Pierson hit their party near Plainfield Indiana. Miss Ishler was taken to Plainfield hospital and returned home the next day. The group, including Helen McNary of Terre Haute and Paul McDaniel of Casey, was en route to Indianapolis.

The fox hunt meet attracts 400 registered participants on opening day with the event forecast as the largest in the association’s history. The final chase is set for 4 00 Saturday morning with two timber wolves released, a 35-dog derby was run Tuesday, prizes awarded on closing day, a 4 00 free-for-all race, nightly dancing, and a closing day barbecue.

Marshall Boy Found Dead in Chicago Heights
William Gresham age 32 was found shot in an alley in Chicago Heights. Police arrested five companions but released them. A revolver and two cartridges were found on one man. He lived in Marshall with his parents and four brothers and four sisters. Funeral today at 3 PM in Marshall cemetery.

Chicago Women Guilty in Fur Coat Theft Case
