Death of Walter Pine in South Dakota
Walter G. Pine died last Wednesday at his uncle’s home in Artesian South Dakota after an operation for appendicitis two weeks earlier. He was born near Marshall September 7 1894 and was educated in Marshall public schools. Funeral services were held at his father’s home conducted by J A Sweets and burial followed in the city cemetery. He is survived by his father step mother one sister and one brother.

Death of a Pioneer Daniel Callahan
Daniel Callahan died Wednesday evening at his home after a long illness from kidney disease. He was 71 and a lifelong county resident who owned a farm near Martinsville and moved to Marshall years ago. Funeral services were held at St Marys church conducted by Fr John Wilson. He is survived by two daughters and four sons.
