Collision Injures Several Near Marshall on Paved Road
Sunday afternoon about 5pm a collision on the paved road east of Marshall near the state line injured Mrs. Cleo Murphy and Mrs. Wink Murphy when their car was struck by a vehicle driven by Walter McGill who backed into the road from a driveway. Dr. R A Mitchell attended the scene and the Dewey ambulance transported Mrs. Wink Murphy with a back injury to Marshall. Mrs. Cleo Murphy suffered a cut instep and a wrenched shoulder with other passengers lightly scratched by glass.

H. C. Bell, longtime Democratic figure and Civil War veteran, died at his daughter's home in Atlanta at age 74. He had lived in Washington in the pension service and served as First Commissioner of Pensions during the Cleveland era. Teachers Hold Meeting in Court House Saturday

West Union Man Killed as Gary Street Car Motorman
Leon Prevo formerly of West Union was killed in a street car wreck in Gary Indiana on Saturday. He was the motorman on the street car and died on his last noon run after a collision with another vehicle. He had moved to Gary last fall from a West Union area farm and his body was returned to his mother Mrs Alice Prevo in West Union. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. today with burial in the West York cemetery. He is survived by his widow five children his mother and several sisters and one brother.
