Elva Baker a 16 year old from Casey was jailed Sunday on assault and battery charges against her mother. She posted a bond but planned to flee and surrendered with her guardians. She will remain jailed until the January term of the county court.

Last Friday marked the end of October with attendance rising from September while tardiness doubled. Senior, Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman counts totaled 80 present. Miss Louella A Markwell Dies At 62 In Marshall
Miss Louella Alice Markwell, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Markwell, born Greenup August 13 1862, died November 6 1914 at Marshall after years of illness. She married Charles Flowers in 1879, joined Greenup Presbyterian then Marshall Methodist, leaving a husband three daughters five grandchildren and many friends. Funeral held at the north Michigan Avenue home Sunday at two in charge of Rev. E. G. Sandmeyer with a quartet providing music. Interment in city cemetery.
