Mrs. Emaline Davidson Gard died at 68 years old after a life of Christian service. She was born in Clark County January 20, 1846 and married Daniel W. Gard in 1866, leaving six children William Edward Adam R Hattie Myrtle and James. Her husband died in 1904. She joined the Methodist Protestant church early and remained devoted. A stroke preceded a final illness and obituary notes her hospitality and kindness. Funeral held at the family residence near Ernst conducted by Rev E G Sandmeyer with large attendance. Interment in Marshall cemetery. Floral offerings numbered and beautiful.
