Stolen Cow Traced From Terre Haute to Dunlap Case
Sheriff Shea and a deputy traced a stolen cow from Terre Haute to near Dunlap and found it with John Cottam and his wife who denied theft. The couple gave conflicting stories including a tale of a man named Alien in Terre Haute. The cow came from George Rady’s barn in Terre Haute and a calf was reportedly sold to a Terre Haute butcher. On Saturday Cottam surrendered to the sheriff.

Railroad Man Killed in Kansas Railway Accident
Morton Laufman, nephew of Jacob Laufman of this city, died Tuesday of last week in a train accident at Goodland Kansas while engaged in railroad work. He was brother of Mrs Sen Forsythe of Walnut Prairie. The body reached Nevins last Thursday and was buried with funeral honors of the Knights of Pythias.

Emil Ehrmann of Terre Haute president of Ehrmann Overall shot and killed Edward Wade in a scuffle with strikers and strike breakers. Police rescued Ehrmann from an angry mob and jailed him. Frederick Beckert was an accessory. Ehrmann, a wealthy bachelor, says he fired in self defense.
