The Episcopal Church has secured rooms in the Shaw residence at the northwest corner of the square and will hold services there once a month starting Sunday May 25. St Stephen's Mission will be dedicated at 10:45 am, with twelve members and no special collection. The group hopes to build a church home within two to three years with support from friends elsewhere.
A local band concert is set for Windmere on March 12 with a program including the Star Spangled Banner and other patriotic pieces. Performers and exact start time are listed in the event notice.

Paal Gottleib Behner, one of the oldest residents, died Friday at his home three miles north of the city after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday from the family residence, conducted by Rev. John Craig. interment in Marshall. Mrs Behner was born November 29, 1880 in Allentown Pa. Her family moved to Stoke County Ohio and later to this county. He leaves his aged wife, two sons Michael and Edward, three daughters Mrs Rebecca Setzer, Mrs Florence Beadle, and Mrs Emma James, eleven grandchildren and one great grand daughter, a brother Lewis of Marshall, and a sister Mrs J M Coons of Yale. He was a kind father and good neighbor.
A sequence of property deeds recorded shows Martin Wernz transferring 70 acres to W O Morris for 2800 dollars in Martinsville. Other transfers include Hector B Dulaney to Illiam Hil bert for 1 million, Cochonour to EH B Philips for lots 2 and 9 for 250, and numerous parcels between local residents with values ranging from 50 to 7500 dollars.
The Texacos beat their opponent 10 to 1 on Sunday. Bert Martin limited baserunners to two hits and two men reached on errors while retiring 27 of 28 batters. The Tulsa World notes his near perfect pitching and a decisive victory.
Representative Foster of Illinois introduced a bill to establish a freshwater mussel cultural and biological station along the Wabash River for propagation. The project is estimated to cost 25000 dollars.

William E. Karn died last Friday at his parents home in Belle Vue Ohio after a long illness. He worked for Ohio Oil Company for many years and moved to the city office when the Illinois field opened, becoming popular for his affable manner and forming many warm friendships. He left work about a year ago due to failing health.

Rosa Helen Sanders daughter of Mr and Mrs Jobin Sanders born May 15 1912 died May 13 1913 just two days short of one year old. Besides her parents she leaves one half brother and sister to mourn her early death.

Lola Irene Weaver daughter of Mr and Mrs William Weaver died Saturday at her home near Dunlap aged 14 years five months after a brief illness. She leaves her parents a sister a brother and many relatives. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday.
Thomas Carson a well known Darwin resident and Civil War veteran died suddenly from heart disease last Thursday at his home. At 72 he had long suffered heart trouble and leaves his wife. Funeral services were held in Darwin Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. Mr. Paddock.

Wesley Pine files in circuit court for divorce from Grace Pine alleging desertion after their 1902 marriage. He states she left him in September 1903 and seeks legal dissolution.
