Mrs Rosa Bennett received a mother's pension of 12 dollars per month to support her three children. Floyd BE Houser pled guilty to bastardy and was ordered to pay 100 dollars immediately and 59 dollars annually for nine years.

Memorial services at Methodist Church with special choir music
The Methodist Church announces memorial services next Sunday with the choir providing special music. Soldiers are expected to attend. Regular services are at 7 30 pm. The choir will be present for two more Sundays before summer vacation. On June 3 the pastor will receive members by letter or transfer, and on June 10 a class of probationers will join.

Married Man's Troubles Begin Early
Fred L. Huff of Tazewell county Illinois married Miss Agnes Sterchi of Marshall at Lloyd Pulver's home Saturday evening. Rev John Craig officiated. Huff, a railway guard, violated enlistment orders and was disciplined then jailed. He was released Monday but remains under arrest at camp and barred from seeing his wife.
