Death of Marshall Resident Scott Buchanan
Nathaniel S. Buchanan of Marshall died Thursday evening after a long kidney illness. Born August 27, 1844 in Sullivan County, Indiana, he received funeral services at his home Saturday morning led by Rev D T Black and was buried in Auburn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife four stepsons and one stepdaughter.

Savageland musical comedy thrills Pythian Theatre crowd
Savageland, a musical comedy produced by local talent under H D Hummell of Indianapolis, drew a large audience at the Pythian Theatre last Thursday. Farmers Organizing unions form county federation
Within four months eight local farmer unions in the western part of the county organized into a county union at Casey last Friday night. H Ennrick was elected president Milt Perisho secretary and treasurer and other officers were chosen. Meetings set for the second Tuesday monthly with the June gathering at Liberty school house. The Farmers Educational and Cooperative Union, born in Texas in 1902, aims to raise farmers condition socially educationally and financially and to secure uniform prices through controlled marketing. The movement now notes activity in 30 states with 29 Illinois county unions and 685 local unions.

Randall Walker dies after illness in West Union
Randall Walker born January 8 1917 to Arthur and Emma Walker of West Union passes away May 7 after measles and pneumonia. A frail child, he belonged to the Christian church cradle roll. Funeral services were led by Rev I Denndemyer of Hutsonville on May 8 with interment at Beulah Cemetery.
