Marshall Co operative program students hear Verne Baxter talk
Marshall high school's co operative programs hosted Verne Baxter chief engineer of United Electronic Laboratories Inc of Louisville during a banquet. Baxter spoke on Youth Preparation for Automation and highlighted local business support from twenty cooperating firms including Clark County Title Taylor Electric Gouckler Chevrolet Buick and TRW Electronic Corp. The event featured remarks from Dr George Mitchell and Paul Poorman with a class photo showing representatives from United Electronic Laboratories TRW and school officials.

Woman's Club Convention Elects New District Officers
The 18th district convention of the Illinois Federation of Woman's Clubs met in Marshall with 182 delegates from Clark Cumberland Edgar Iroquois Kankakee and Vermilion counties. Mrs Ethel Perisho of Paris chaired the meeting and Mrs Robert Cavitt Watseka was elected president with a full slate of officers. State officers attended and installed the new leadership at a morning session followed by a luncheon hosted by the WSCS.
