Mrs Martha Young of Paris died at Union Hospital Terre Haute becoming the fourth casualty from the West Union automobile collision. The crash also claimed the high school principal and two Paris cheerleaders on March 12. Coroner Donald Hosch ruled the incident an accidental collision after an inquest in Marshall.
Marshall High School announces cast for Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. Duchess Leitch and Nancy Doll play Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough with John Ziegler Michelle Blundell Tony Cork and others in supporting roles. Performances April 9 10 11 at 8 p m Legion Home Marshall produced by Curtain Callers.
Elmer A. Stover 78, retired Marshall mail carrier, died Wednesday in Truth or Consequences NM where he lived past fourteen years. Survived by daughter Mrs J W Staub Illinois, two sons Harold Marshall Illinois and Dr James Stover Wickenburg Arizona. Funeral at Moore Funeral Home Marshall Saturday 2:00 pm with Rev Harold J Kemp officiating. burial in Marshall cemetery.
Warren A Strohm of 410 Hickory Street Marshall has been appointed as a member of the Clark County selective service board. Strohm is a gasoline and oil distributor for Sunray D-X. Clark County registrants Frederick Wayne Wood and Charles Everett Baird were inducted into the Army at the St. Louis induction station on March 17.
Janet Lynn Noppert infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Noppert Route 2 Marshall died Sunday evening at St. Anthony Hospital Terre Haute. Survived by parents sister Brenda Kaye grandparents Clyde Raisner Route 2 Marshall William Noppert Terre Haute great grandfather Clarence Pine Route 4 Marshall. Graveside services by Marrs Funeral Home Marshall cemetery Tuesday at 3 30 p m with Rev R L Norris officiating.
Michael Eugene Jacobs aged 19 and Susan Kay Earhart aged 18, both from Indianapolis, received marriage licenses. Forrest Levern Bass aged 22 of Bellingham Washington and Sandra C. Lewis aged 24 of Marshall Illinois were issued licenses. Johnie Joe Allen aged 22 of Oblong Illinois and Candace Lee Imboden aged 18 of Oblong Illinois also secured licenses.
An Easter pageant will be presented at Snyder Methodist Church next Sunday March 29 at 7 30 p m. The program will involve participants from Brick and Darwin churches.

Jury seated for trial of Don Roberts, Terre Haute mayor, with a prosecutor alleging political corruption and 2700 fictitious registrations to enable repeated votes.

It promises cheaper repairs and faster turnaround, completing the shop’s capabilities. The notice also reports Roy Norton and wife of Terre Haute welcomed a baby boy Jack LeRoy Friday. A large dinner gathering in Ernst includes many local families and Terre Haute guests.
Race driver Jimmie Duran stopped in Marshall for a few hours on the way to Indianapolis in a Ford V-8 with 12,000 miles. He covered 148 miles from St. Louis in 131 minutes, leaving Marshall at 12 20 and reaching Indianapolis at 1 35 PM, according to Sam Prevo.
The monthly Dutch Luncheon of Cooperative Clubs and Diversified Occupations was held Thursday at Tom’s Restaurant with Steve Fritcher as master of ceremonies. Mrs. Gertrude B. Laird 66 of 834 South Avenue Toledo died March 10. Formerly of Terre Haute Indiana and Marshall Illinois she leaves two daughters Marjorie Laird and Carolyn Ogle both of Marshall plus son in law Robert Ogle and granddaughter Marsha Ogle. She had brother Erwin Korb and niece Eleanor Korb. In Marshall she belonged to the Marshall Woman's Club Eastern Star and Clark County Home Bureau. Eastern Star rites and burial were in Forest Cemetery March 12.

Miss Carol Jean Hanley and Darrell Lee Morgan were married at 6 30 p m Saturday March 14 at the Methodist Church in Marshall with Rev J Arnold Olsen officiating. Bridesmaid Irene Murphy, best man Wes Fleming. The couple will reside in Mattoon Illinois after a small family ceremony.
Mrs Charles Meyers of Zenia Ohio welcomes Christine Louise born March 11 at Green Ward weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces with a three year old sister at home. Mrs Harvey I Kesler of Marshall is maternal grandfather. John Milton born to Mr and Mrs Johnny Hollinbeck at Union Hospital weighing six pounds eleven ounces. Bonnie Sue born March 20 at Union Hospital to Mr and Mrs Charles Simpson weighing seven pounds seven ounces. Airian Jean born March 19 at Union Hospital weighing seven pounds seven ounces to Mr and Mrs Douglas Gunther mother Shirley Jean Kibler.
About 200 home advisers and public aid case workers attended two day sessions at Revier Hall March 17 and 18 1920 and March 25 in University of Tinos to learn nutrition and budgeting for low income clients. Geraldine Acker and Nyvia Gorham led sessions with eighteen counties represented. Sponsors included Cooperative Extension Services and the Tim ois department of public aid.

The Lincoln Trail Band Festival will be held in Marshall at the high school gym on Friday night April 3. The concert starts at 7 30 with six schools participating and about 350 students. Everett Kisinger directs the festival and also leads the University of Illinois Bands. he serves as football band director and Regimental Band conductor and is an associate professor of music.
Mr. Maude Bristol of Plymouth Illinois arrived in Marshall Wednesday evening for Holy Week services at the Congregational church. The public is invited to see and hear Mrs. Bristol during the services.
The Ambassadors for Christ Quartet of Oakland Illinois will present a gospel singing program at Asbury Church on Sunday evening March 29 at 7 30. Everyone welcome.
