Fourth Death From West Union Accident

Mrs Martha Young of Paris died at Union Hospital Terre Haute becoming the fourth casualty from the West Union automobile collision. The crash also claimed the high school principal and two Paris cheerleaders on March 12. Coroner Donald Hosch ruled the incident an accidental collision after an inquest in Marshall.

Warren A Strohm Named to Clark County Selective Service Board

Warren A Strohm of 410 Hickory Street Marshall has been appointed as a member of the Clark County selective service board. Strohm is a gasoline and oil distributor for Sunray D-X. Marriage Licenses Published for Four Couples

Jimmie Duran Drives Through Marshall to Indianapolis

Race driver Jimmie Duran stopped in Marshall for a few hours on the way to Indianapolis in a Ford V-8 with 12,000 miles. He covered 148 miles from St. Louis in 131 minutes, leaving Marshall at 12 20 and reaching Indianapolis at 1 35 PM, according to Sam Prevo.

Mrs. Gertrude Laird Dies in Toledo Ohio At 66

Mrs. Gertrude B. Laird 66 of 834 South Avenue Toledo died March 10. Formerly of Terre Haute Indiana and Marshall Illinois she leaves two daughters Marjorie Laird and Carolyn Ogle both of Marshall plus son in law Robert Ogle and granddaughter Marsha Ogle. She had brother Erwin Korb and niece Eleanor Korb. In Marshall she belonged to the Marshall Woman's Club Eastern Star and Clark County Home Bureau. Eastern Star rites and burial were in Forest Cemetery March 12.

Trinity Revival Opens April 8 in Marshall Church

Extension workshop trains public aid workers in budgeting meals

About 200 home advisers and public aid case workers attended two day sessions at Revier Hall March 17 and 18 1920 and March 25 in University of Tinos to learn nutrition and budgeting for low income clients. Geraldine Acker and Nyvia Gorham led sessions with eighteen counties represented. Sponsors included Cooperative Extension Services and the Tim ois department of public aid.

Lincoln Trail Band Festival at Marshall High School

The Lincoln Trail Band Festival will be held in Marshall at the high school gym on Friday night April 3. The concert starts at 7 30 with six schools participating and about 350 students. Everett Kisinger directs the festival and also leads the University of Illinois Bands. he serves as football band director and Regimental Band conductor and is an associate professor of music.
