Three Die in West Union Head-On Crash
A Thursday night head-on collision on State Route 1 near West Union killed John Allen Paris high school principal and two of his five accompanying cheerleaders. In the other car, Raymond Glick and Mrs Young were hospitalized in Terre Haute in critical condition. several other cheerleaders were seriously injured.

Mrs Dorothy Clark and her daughter Barbara Clark with Floyd Pancake, all of Marshall, sustained injuries in a head on crash between West Terre Haute and Terre Haute with a St Marys of the Woodsman car. Clark was released Saturday Pancake released after treatment and Barbara Clark on Monday. Clarf county Young Republicans plan a meeting March 25 at the Scout Building in Marshall to nominate and elect OB IEEE officials.

Lions Club Donates To Marshall Community Pool Project
The Marshall Lions Club has funded and promoted many pool improvements for the Marshall community. The pool began in 1955 after a community drive, with loans totaling about 19 000 still outstanding.
