Three Die In U S 40 Crash Near Marshall
Three persons perished in a Friday dawn collision on U S 40 five to six miles east of Marshall. Michael Crouch, 38, a test equipment engineer from Marshall, died later at the hospital. Passenger Mabel C Wright 63 of Columbus Ohio and Mildred D Lindley 63 of Weirton WV died at the scene.

1881 Herald Arrives from California
Mrs. Loraine Archer Hutchins of Eagle Rock California mailed a copy of The Marshall Herald dated August 80 1881 to Clark County Historical Society Marshall. The copy was received by County Clerk H J Kemp. The issue carried little advertising just enough to pay the postage of the Herald of today.

Deaths of Festus Wyrick and Thomas Kuehner in Marshall area
Festus S. Wyrick age 86 of rural Marshall route 5 died June 4 in Alton Illinois. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday at Marrs Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Wernimont officiating. Burial was in Livingston Cemetery. Thomas Kuehner 65 of R J Dennison died Thursday at Burnside Home in Marshall. Survived by wife Lou Celia two daughters Wanda Kuehner and Gene Bohn, sister Amelia Hartnogle of Indianapolis, and two granddaughters. Body moved to Moore Funeral Home with arrangements pending.
