Carpenter-Swain Files to Seek VP Nomination in New Hampshire Primary
Fifi Carpenter-Swain of Cincinnati filed petitions with Secretary of State Robert L. Stark to run as a Democratic candidate for vice president in the March 10 presidential primary. She presented more than 100 names from each New Hampshire district, surpassing the 50 required per district, saying signatures were collected to help her bid. A Marshall native, she hitchhiked to New Hampshire to launch her campaign.
