Doc Spencer dies at county infirmary aged 76
Volney Spencer known as Doc died at the county infirmary on Sunday from pneumonia at age 76. A longtime resident of Wabash township he is survived by two sisters. Funeral services were held at the home of Charles Stover and burial followed in the city cemetery.

Capt Harrison Black died at his sister's home in Westfield after a long cancer illness. Funeral services were held at the home and he was buried in Martinsville.
