Judge W B Scholfield died at his home in Marshall after a long heart ailment. Born May 21 1869 he served as circuit judge and on the Tre nois Appellate Court bench and was assistant Attorney General of Illinois. In Marshall he was widely esteemed and funeral services were held at his home attended by Masons Red Men and regional lawyers.

Veteran resident Gottlieb Ziegler dies at 75
Gottlieb Ziegler, pioneer of Anderson township, died last Thursday at his home from pneumonia at age 75 years eight months. Funeral services were held Sunday at his home, conducted by Rev. John Mundorf, with burial in the Ziegler cemetery. He was born May 27, 1842 in Marion county Ohio and served in Company I of the 20th Illinois Infantry. He married Christina Holzworth in 1869. they had six children. He joined Emanuel Evangelical church in 1877 and remained a member. Survived by his wife two sons John and William three grandchildren one sister and many relatives.

Mrs Lote Gray died at her North Michigan Avenue home from a lung hemorrhage after a pneumonia illness. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church and burial in the city cemetery. William H Page, 60, died in Winchester Kentucky from blood poisoning following a facial pimple. He worked as leasehold manager for Ohio Oil Co and had long ties with Standard Oil. He leaves a wife and three children and will be buried in Montpelier Indiana.
