American Legion plans to distribute baskets again
Clark County Post No. 90 of the American Legion will again distribute Christmas baskets to needy families in Marshall and vicinity. The plan, adopted three years ago, relies on public support and cooperation. The Legion will furnish baskets and identification tags and will deliver them. Clifford Macke Arrested on Charge of Stealing
Clifford Macke living near Oliver was arrested Saturday evening by Policeman Charles Short after merchandise was found stolen from several cars around town. Items from Glenn Wright and Albert Newlin of West Union were recovered in Macke’s car. He posted a $1000 bond signed by Sol Handy for Monday appearance before Squire Tom Craig, and was bound over to the grand jury with the bond transferred to his brother James A. Macke.
