Narrow escape as bridge collapses under threshing outfit
A traction engine and separator owned by I N Richart of Martinsville township and Walter Clark of Edgar fell through a north Paris bridge Saturday. The 80 foot steel span dropped with the machinery into the creek 14 feet below while Jacob Kannamacher and Harry Wells were in the cab. Both men escaped injury and damage was about 600 dollars.

Spiketown held its fourth annual home coming for alumni from about 25 years ago with morning and afternoon programs at the old school site. The event featured prayers, songs, a memorial for three departed sisters, recitations, solos, roll call, minutes, and a procession of officers.

Mrs Sarah Fredenberger died suddenly at her daughter Mrs Harry Findley’s home near Marshall last Wednesday night after heart trouble. Funeral in United Brethren church conducted by Rev Dotson. She leaves eight children, three brothers, one sister, thirteen grandchildren, and many friends. She joined the United Brethren church early in life and was devoted to missions and the church.

Durrett In Again Raids Bootlegging Camp
Deputy Sheriffs McRaricht Henderson and Mickey raided a river bank bootlegging camp near Old York Sunday afternoon. They arrested Keviners Ike Durrett and Frank Firmin and brought them to jail. The camp had troubled residents for some time.
