Esta Arbuckle died Friday at his home near Marshall after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the family residence conducted by Rev. L. J. Ehrhardt with interment in Marshall cemetery. He was born Sept 21, 1852 in Marshall and married Carolina Dietz on March 14, 1875. Survived by wife, children Nellie English Ruth Wallace Fanny English Zane Jr and sister Laura Arbuckle and brothers Zane Merritt. Mary predeceased him at age 12. He served as township officer and school trustee.

Sylvan Davison, an Auburn youth, evaded Sheriff Wallace after a Monday attempt to arrest him on disturbing the peace and concealed weapons charges. A Blizzard died suddenly at his home eight miles south of Marshall in Anderson township early last Friday morning. He was 60, a lifelong county resident. He became ill near midnight Thursday, called Bert Eckles, and collapsed while Eckles prepared medicine. Survived by three sons and three daughters. Funeral service held at home Saturday conducted by Rev John Craig, with interment in the family cemetery.
