Illinois 1963 Deer Season Set With Two Three Day Weekends
The Illinois Department of Conservation announces a 1963 shotgun deer season in two three day weekends from November 8 to 10 and November 29 to December 1. Fifty eight counties are open by county permits. Hunters may use shotguns 10 12 16 or 20 gauge with rifled slugs of three shells or less. Bright red yellow or orange clothing is required for all hunters and those in the field. Hunting hours run 6 30 a m to 4 p m daily. The bag limit is one deer per season of either sex.

Thirty Years Ago Farmhouse Fire and Local Crimes in Marshall Area
A two story seven room farm house on the Mathew Abel farm four miles south of Marshall burned Sunday morning about 1100 o'clock. In Orange township two masked men robbed the Mills home before 8 pm Tuesday. Marshall Community Fair Association discussed plans for the upcoming fair. Casey city elections produced mixed dry and wet results amid a court contest. Local births include a son for Kammacher of Gary Indiana and various other newborns. A hunting accident injured Richard Newlin in West Union. Several marriage licenses were issued in Martinsville and Dennison.
