Woman Injured When Car Strikes Bridge Near Marshall
Mrs. F G Kauffmer of Harrisburg Pennsylvania sustained a broken right arm Monday morning when the Buick sedan she rode in struck a bridge abutment west of Marshall. Mrs Kauffmer drove the car onto the pavement then turned back and hit the bridge, flipping the vehicle. Accompanying passengers Mrs Margaret M Snyder of Los Angeles and Mr Kauffmer suffered only bruises and scratches. She received care from Dr L J Weir and later Dr R A Mitchell in Marshall. The party had been visiting California and were en route home.

A Flint touring car and a Ford collided about 10 30 near Grand Turn five miles south of Marshall injuring multiple occupants. John Barthelemy and Mrs Meeks suffered serious injuries. others escaped with minor wounds as both cars overturned into a ditch.

Meat Market Gets New Showcases for Sanitary Cold Storage
Otto Fischer bought a large white porcelain interior showcase from Gruendler Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, kept cold by ammonia pipes for sanitary dry storage. Ed Szrantz of Burge Ice Machine Co. of Chicago installed the ammonia ice machine and mold to cool the unit. Fischer says the method keeps meat clean and in good condition.

John McCauley was elected mayor by a large majority at the city election held Tuesday. John Brandenstein won city clerk, Fred Keifer defeated Milo Claypool for treasurer. Aldermen Machlan, Sowers, and Metz won in their wards. voters also chose Landreth, Sweet, and others in various races. The event also noted attendance at a Congregational church meeting in Danville with several attendees.
