He performed Turn to the Right, portraying twelve characters and tracing a story of a good Christian woman guiding wayward lives. A five room house at 100 South 25th Street owned by A. K. Biles and occupied by Patrick Lawler, with five children, burned Monday evening. Discovered about six p m the building was a mass of flames on arrival of Fire Chief A H Lander and force who fought it nearly two and a half hours. Neighbors unaware until late. adjoining buildings undamaged. Fire likely from a defective flue. Lawler carried $500 on contents with partial coverage on the home and Mrs Biles had some insurance on the dwelling.
Explosion Burns Earl Whitesides at East Main Garage
Earl Whitesides suffered facial and head burns when a can of gasoline used as old grease exploded at B. Lewis's Garage on East Main Street. An employee discarded the can into a stove causing the blast. doctors say the injuries are painful but not deep and a full recovery is hoped. Also notes Mrs. Sitter and Mrs. Sullivan visiting and returning from Anna and Goreville respectively.

He married Martha Campbell in Saline County about 44 years ago. she died nine months earlier. A Baptist church member for years, he lived in this county since age two. Services at his daughter Mrs Geo St John 704 North Logan Street at 2:40 Tuesday afternoon, Dr Prince of West Baptist Church officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
