Special to the Press Zaima Fes 23. S. T. Pittman is pursued by Constable Erich Wolpers after a dramatic escape from custody. Pittman, a married man with two children, allegedly made improper advances to Miss Cyndia Shirrell and drew a pistol to coerce her. He was arrested, held at a Williams home, then leapt from a window to flee in bare feet. Police have searched without success and crowds fear lynching if found. Pittman is about 40 to 45 years old with a family.

State Democratic Convention Set in Kansas City for Friday
At a meeting of the democratic state committee in St. Toms Test Friday the state convention was scheduled for Kansas City on May 15. Representation is based on the Cleveland vote of 1892, one delegate for every 500 votes or fraction over 250. Bollinger receives three delegates. A supreme judge eight railroad commissioner and superintendent of public schools will be nominated.
