Weather last week favored harvesting with strong sunshine and drought harming immature crops across the state. Eastern areas saw near normal temperatures while the rest were cooler. Corn needs rain in many counties, some farmers hauling water. oats performed better than expected, hay is being harvested, second clover cut is drought damaged, southern counties show corn ready for roasting ears, and some farmers began plowing for wheat.
