Eighth Annual Turkey Banquet Attracts 166 Attendees
The Comrades of the Way Class of the Methodist Sunday School held its eighth annual Turkey Banquet with 166 people at four long tables. Decorations featured cardboard turkeys and autumn colors while the program included organ music, a Philippine Islands illustrated lecture by Al Winkel, and a benediction by Rev. D E Melton.

Local FFA Boys Compete In Land Use Section Contest
On Saturday November 8 the first sectional land use contest was held on Martin Schleder's farm southwest of Pekin. Teams from Fulton Mason and Tazewell counties competed with Forman Morton Green Valley and Farmington placing first to fifth. Individual leaders were Stanley Noll Leo Gray Charles Ahlam and Lawrence Meyer.

Mrs Heckman entertained the Golden Links Sunday School Class with Mrs Vernie Ethell as co host. Mrs C J DeSutter led the business meeting and plans for a January 17 food sale were made. Nel lie Zimmerman, James Seelye and Tom Moore won prizes. nineteen members attended and lunch followed.
