The annual Mason County Lutheran Ladies Aid convention gathered at St. John's Lutheran near Bishop with 1:30 p.m. registration. Eight Forman FFA members accompanied by teacher Eugene Patchett attended the FFA Judging Contest at the University of Illinois. Delegates Marvin Quick and James Meyer stayed for the convention and participated in parliamentary procedure public speaking and FFA Follies while helping their section win the softball championship. Jim Meyer placed first in District Farm and Home Beautification earning a plaque for himself and the chapter. Results in dairying livestock poultry and grain were not yet announced.
