Caterpillar Tractor Co will close factories and offices from July 4 to July 19 with skeleton crews. End of third shift July 4. first shift returns July 20. About 1825 staff remain to maintain essential services and customer relations. Cafeteria and employee activities program shut. medical safety and insurance divisions operate on normal or abbreviated schedules.
