Soybean Market Trends Share Strong Demand and Rising Output
The 19654 soybean crop is 29 percent larger than last year and 13 percent above the two prior records of 1950 and 1952. Foreign demand remains strong with exports about one fourth higher than last year's 40 million bushels. No surplus stocks exist as most old crop beans were milled or exported before the 1954 harvest began. Prices typically hit a low in October with gains from October to January and midwinter declines expected.
